Printed magazine about the Loučná river

You can pick up a printed “magazine” for Karina Šrubařová and Nikola Brabcová’s art project BIOTOP LOUČNÁ in the House of the Knights (dům U Rytířů). The project is part of the exhibition Plan B.

After graduating from art schools, Nikola Brabcová (1987) and Karin Šrubařová ( 1984) decided to devote themselves to art, teaching and activist work in the field of ecology. They have been working in artistic tandem for a long time. They have created their own platform Prototype for artistic, curatorial, residency or pedagogical collaborations. Both artists experiment with new media and often work collectively on ecologically oriented projects assuming the collaboration with the audience. Their projects include site-specific and local-issues research, outputs in the form of records, printed media and public tours. In Litomyšl, they focused on research of the Loučná river and its importance for the town.

The exhibition Plan B was prepared by the Litomyšl Town Gallery in cooperation with the Bohemian Heritage Fund. The exhibition was made possible thanks to the kind financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Pardubice Region.
