The Municipal Gallery Litomyšl presents the exhibition OUT OF OSTRALE, which brings a selection of works from the Dresden Biennial of Contemporary Art OSTRALE to the Red Tower. The collection of works by international artists opens up the themes of time, childhood, human memory, motherhood, identity, the feeling of alienation and ecological illusions.
The exhibition brings together diverse artistic approaches that oscillate between satire, subtle humour and aesthetic nostalgia. It offers visitors the opportunity to slow down, step out of the everyday rhythm for a moment and meet contemporary art in the architecturally interesting space of an ancient medieval tower.
The artists represented in the exhibition are Sarah Geppert, Olia Fedorova, Mavi Garcia, Alexia Vassiliou, Jo Albert, Alexandra Müller, Susanna Heider, Marta Czene, Nezaket Ekici, Shahar Marcus and Frenzy Höhne. Their works reflect on personal experience and broader social issues through painting, video, installation, photography and performative approaches.
The exhibition is part of the Smetana Art Litomyšl 2026.
