On January 5, 2025, we temporarily suspended our operations in the House of the Knights <\/span><\/strong><\/a>on Smetana Square. We have handed over the gallery to the company Kmo\u0161ek & Kmo\u0161ek s.r.o.<\/a><\/span>which took over the building renovation of the house. <\/span><\/p>\n

The author of the architectural design of the reconstruction, which should be completed in 2027, is the well-known Brno architectural studio Kuba & Pila\u0159 architekti<\/a>.<\/span> The main idea of his project is to connect the existing exhibition space and facilities with the still underused rear wing of the house. The gallery will thus be revitalised with new exhibition spaces and the visitor facilities will also undergo a major modernisation. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In 2027, visitors to the House of the Knights will find a new studio for educational activities, a cosy caf\u00e9 connected to the gallery courtyard and a welcoming library with specialist literature on art, design and architecture.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During the reconstruction of the House of the Knights we will attack you with art in the Town Picture Gallery (June-September) or through exhibitions of Smetana’s Art Litomy\u0161l and Window Gallery. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
